Since early 2023, Casa Latinos Unidos has been partnering with the Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments (OCWCG) to implement a financial education program for Latinx families. Between January and June 2023, 140 individuals have participated in workshops we have offered in Lincoln City, Newport, Corvallis, and Albany. Starting in June 2023, still in partnership with (OWCCG) but now through funding from the Samaritan Social Accountability grant, we are teaching workshops in Corvallis, Albany, and Lebanon. These workshops cover topics such as budgeting, planning expenses, and savings.
