The Youth en Acción project is funded by the Oregon Health Authority Youth Advisory Council and has the purpose of engaging with high school youth in identifying issues of concern and developing solutions. In 2022-2023, a group of 11 youth from the Corvallis High School and the Crescent Valley High School took photographs in their schools and neighborhoods, analyzed them, identified issues of relevance, interviewed school staff, and presented their reflections to the Corvallis School District. The group worked on mental health and the availability of mental health services at their schools. The second cohort of this project starts in September 2023.
